Class: StatusService

Exposes the current stream status and the list of statuses available on the channel (e.g. "In game", "Break", "Just Chatting").

Remarks

Accessible everywhere via k.statuses. You never have to instantiate this service yourself — it is created by the SDK when the app/widget starts.

The current status is kept up to date automatically: when it changes, the service updates status and emits EVENTS.STATUS; when the list of statuses changes, it updates statuses and emits EVENTS.STATUSES. Handy for adapting an app's display based on what the streamer is doing.

Example

ts
console.log('Current status:', k.statuses.status?.name);

k.statuses.events.on(k.statuses.EVENTS.STATUS, (status) => {
    console.log('New status:', status.name);
});
